Preparing your child for school can be a daunting task. At Bumbles, we are passionate about ensuring your child has the skills and experiences required to prepare them for the transition. Our qualified teacher has a wealth of experience in primary schools, in particular the Early Years, and understands the importance of your child feeling ready to take on their new challenge.

We will provide first hand experiences to help them prepare for ‘big school’, from enhancing our role play with school uniform from local primary schools to giving them more responsibility within the setting with lunch times etc. It is of great importance to us that we have prepared your child practically, academically and most important, emotionally, for such an important change in their little lives. 

When children reach three years of age we plan activities which have been designed to be fun and build upon children’s natural curiosity and desire to learn. We will acquire information from the school they will be attending, invite their teacher into our setting and arrange visits to the school.

When it's time to choose a school for your child, we are here to help. We would like to make the transition as easy for you as it is for your child, we will guide you every step of the way. Once you've decided on a school for your child, we will work closely with them to ensure going to school is an exciting and positive experience.
